During the modernization of the street lighting networks of the city of Vilnius, all sodium and metalhalide lamps currently in the city will be replaced - there are about 40,7 thousand of them left. The lighting of the capital's streets will be managed by a computerized remote lighting monitoring, management and control system. This is the first such project not only in Lithuania, but also in Europe, when the entire city's lighting system is modernized. After the implementation of the project, electricity costs should be reduced by half - about 11,7 million will be saved. kWh of electricity or more than 1 million euros per year from electricity alone.
