Last year "Maxima", and this year "Norfa". Residents are noticing that a strange trend is returning on the Western Bypass - leaving store trailers on the side of the road. Last year, residents recorded a Maxima trailer, and this year, a Norfa trailer was parked in the same place. The municipality urges people to report such cases to the police.
It is also interesting that the trailers are parked in the same place – on the Western Bypass, near the shopping center.Vilnius Outlet". In this place, according to the current traffic regulations (KET) parking is prohibited. The rules state that it is not allowed to stop and park where there are two or more traffic lanes and the speed is higher than 50 km/h.
"This place visible in the photo is not intended for parking, such cases should be reported to the police or the municipal public order group. The municipality has not had information about this specific case so far. The situation will be checked on site and, if the trailer is still standing, a KET violation will be recorded," comments Gabrielius Grubinskas, Vilnius city municipalities Media relations specialist.
We remind you that in such cases, officers who have not received a direct report about the abandoned trailer or other vehicle cannot properly assess the situation. Therefore, readers who notice and suspect violations of the Road Traffic Act should report it to the traffic police on the day of the incident.
