JSC "Communication services" informs that from now on Verkių - P. Lukšio st. at the intersection - even smoother, clearer and safer traffic.
"Using the already existing street infrastructure, additional traffic regulation measures were installed at the mentioned intersection - to increase the traffic capacity from P. Lukšios st. an additional section is installed to the right. In addition, the safety of pedestrians crossing Verkių St. will increase," the "Transportation Services" report reads.
An additional section was installed from P. Lukšios st. to the right (to Verkių St. towards Kareivius St.) will allow drivers to turn right:
- Both with the additional section to the right enabled
- Both when the green circular traffic light is on. Turning right at a green circular signal is allowed only after passing pedestrians.
Transport Services says the additional section at this location will allow traffic to be regulated safely and reduce the likelihood of pedestrian accidents when turning right.
