Traffic restrictions will be introduced at the cemeteries in Vilnius during the All Hallows weekend.
According to the Vilnius municipality, since October 19, it is forbidden for cars to stop and park at the entrances of the Rokantiškii, Karveliškii, Kairenai and Saltoniskii cemeteries near buses, roundabouts, and the entrance gates of the cemeteries. This ban will be in effect until November 3rd.
On November 1-3, traffic at the approaches to the Rokantiškii, Karveliškii, Kairėnai and Saltoniškii cemeteries will be diverted along detour routes.
At that time, car traffic to the Rokantiškii cemetery from Steponas Bator st. will be directed through New Vilnius, Viršupis, A. Kojelavičius, North, Uosii, Kalno and Rokantiškiu streets.
The municipality indicates that it will be possible to park cars in parking lots and roadsides, where they do not obstruct traffic and there are no road signs prohibiting parking.
In order to avoid the formation of heavy traffic jams, residents are recommended to drive to the Kairenai cemetery from the side of the Nemenčinė highway. Vehicles from Kairėnai Street will be diverted via Šilėnai Street. At that time, traffic will go in one direction in the section near the Kairenai cemetery.
It is recommended to come to the Karveliški cemetery from Vilnius district The sides of the ward will be divided. Traffic will pass through the Karveliškių cemetery in one direction: from A. Mickevičius street to the cemetery it will be possible to drive only along Naujosjis street, and to exit - only through Karveliškių street.
The municipality notes that on November 1 Traffic will be prohibited on Đžuolyna street, at the Saltoniškių cemetery, with the exception of public transport traffic It will be possible to enter the parking lot next to the cemetery only from Oz Street.
Public transport will run more often
For the convenience of Vilnius residents, there will be more frequent flights before Vēlines and during the long weekend Vilnius public transport.
According to the municipality, on October 26-27 bus routes 2, 37, 63, 115 and trolleybuses 7, 16 and 19 will run more often.
November 1-2 more frequent trips are planned for bus routes 2, 7, 37, 38, 63, 88, 114 and 115 and trolleybus routes 2, 7, 16 and 19.
November 3 bus routes 2, 7, 37, 38, 63, 88, 114, 115 and trolleybuses 7, 16 and 19 will run more often.
Route 88 buses from November 1. until November 3 will additionally visit the Liepynė cemetery.
