This is how XNUMX is marked by the passenger transportation company Tolimojo keletinio transportos kompaniya (TOKS), which has more than two decades of activity history.
As the company's CEO Arūnas Indrašius pointed out at the media conference held on Tuesday, the changes were dictated by the company's future vision and orientation to customer needs.
"As times change, our customers and their needs change, and so does our company. Reliability, modernity, safety, attractive price and customer orientation - these key features for the company formulate the main tasks in our daily activities and indicate the direction, raising the bar for the quality of bus travel", says A. Indrašius.
New buses - every year
The wave of changes in the company that started in 2015 reached its peak this year. Three years ago, the popularity of the TOKS NEO service offered by the company for traveling by comfortable and modern buses led to further investments by the company.
This spring, TOKS put 6 new Setra brand buses on the streets (five single-decker and one double-decker), in which they invested almost 1,8 million. euros, and last year the company's investments in transport renewal amounted to almost 3 million. euros.
According to A. Indrašius, passengers quickly liked the new buses, which are comparable in price to sports supercars, and appreciated the advantages they provide, which meet different needs. Unlike standard buses, in TOKS NEO models, seats with individual tables are arranged in a checkerboard pattern and create more comfortable conditions for both rest and work. Travelers are offered a variety of entertainment that does not cost anything extra.
The modern media center installed in TOKS NEO buses gives you the opportunity to use an entertainment package that includes music recordings, the latest movies and magazines in various languages. After connecting to the center, you can see the traveled and remaining distance, plan your next trip, and choose alternatives for a convenient transfer. And the Internet connection has already become a matter of course," the company's manager mentioned the advantages, adding that the occupancy on the buses of this service is about one-fifth higher than on other routes.
A. Indrašius emphasized that new vehicles provide an undoubtedly important advantage - greater safety. State-of-the-art buses, like cars, are equipped with a variety of modern driver aids and warning systems to ensure safer and easier driving. All passengers traveling on TOKS buses are insured.
"Next year, we plan to add another ten new Scania brand buses to the fleet," revealed A. Indrašius.

According to the head of TOKS, over the past year, the number of passengers on the company's intercity and international routes, which are served by over 90 buses, increased by 5 percent and reached more than 1,5 million.
"Seeing the growing flow of customers and in order to offer better and more efficient service, we are establishing a XNUMX/XNUMX info center that will allow us to promptly solve problems arising on the routes at any time and take care of passengers in the fastest and best way in unforeseen situations," said A. Indrašius.
According to him, the company also invests a lot in employees, thus raising the standard of passenger service: for example, drivers have the opportunity to learn English at the company's expense, various motivational programs are created and other trainings are held.
Last year, the company had an average of 282 employees.
Rebranded
The new logo and brand of the company, which was presented to media representatives on Tuesday, give meaning to these changes in TOKS's activities. As the company's sales and marketing director, Sigita Vaičiutė, said, the slightly inclined letters symbolize the direction forward, boldly implemented solutions, the implementation of the latest technologies and the most advanced management and customer service solutions.
"The green color indicates a sustainable, environment- and human-friendly activity. This is one of the most important values of the company, implemented in daily activities by updating the bus fleet with modern and ecological vehicles. The dark silver color is a reflection of modern and smart solutions that are implemented in the company's activities," said S. Vaičiutė.
According to A. Indrašiaus, the rapidly developing company plans to increase the volume of operations and expand to foreign markets.
"We plan to further expand the network of international routes to Eastern Europe: Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. We will also continue to develop charter flights in Scandinavia and other European countries", noted the company manager.
Last year, TOKS received 12,801 million. EUR revenue, ie 17,6 percent. more than in 2016. The company's net profit increased by 42,5 percent during the year. up to 911 euros. The company plans to allocate about 2 million for next year's investments. euros.
