With the easing of quarantine conditions in Lithuania, the passenger bus companies "Tolimojo keleivinio transporto kompaniya" ("Toks") and "Kautra" are renovating some routes.
From Thursday, "Toks" will again take passengers from Vilnius to Nauja Akmene, Rokiškis, Šilalė and Palanga. Buses will run once daily in each direction.
According to the manager of the company, Arūnas Indrašius, all trips will take place ensuring safety and quarantine requirements.
"All passengers will be admitted only through the middle doors of the buses and seated in the cabin at a distance of at least one meter. Buses are constantly disinfected, and special barriers are installed for their drivers, masks, gloves and disinfectant liquid are also provided," A. Indrašius said in the report.
According to him, decisions on the renewal of other routes will depend on passenger flows and quarantine conditions
"Kautra" announced that it had renewed some routes already last Saturday, and from Tuesday - connections with Taurag, Šilale, Raseinias, Kupiškis, Kelme, Šakias. The company is planning more routes from next week.
"On Saturday, we updated the routes to Marijampole, Palanga, Utena and other cities. We are still adding new directions this week. We try, we experiment - some directions work better, others less," said Linas Skardziuks, head of Kautra, in a statement.
