The 44th Mardi Gras celebration organized in Rumšiškės will take place this Saturday, March 1, at 12.00:XNUMX. The LTG Group passenger transport company "LTG Link" together with the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnography invites you to travel to the festival on special train and bus routes from Vilnius and Kaunas and back.
Vilnius and Kaunas residents are invited to attend the Winter Expulsion Festival by train to the Pravieniškės stop, where they can transfer to a free bus to the festival venue - the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnography.
"This is not the first time we have organized joint train and bus routes so that our passengers can sustainably and comfortably reach Lithuanian resorts and visit the largest events and celebrations. This time, by inviting us to the Mardi Gras celebration, we want our train passengers to be able to travel and return home comfortably without any worries and immerse themselves in the festive mood from the very beginning of the journey," says Kristina Meidė, head of LTG Link.
The Lithuanian Museum of Ethnography provides free buses from the railway station.
"We are pleased that Shrovetide at the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnography attracts increasing interest from visitors every year. However, as the flow of people increases, traffic jams also become inevitable. In order to ensure a more comfortable, smoother and more sustainable journey to the festival, this year we are cooperating with LTG Link for the first time and invite visitors to arrive at the festival by train. This will not only help avoid traffic jams, but will also contribute to environmental protection. Sustainability is one of the values that the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnography cherishes," says Renata Adomavičienė, a representative of the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnography.
Those wishing to travel from Vilnius should buy tickets for the train departing at 9:24 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. For those traveling from Kaunas, it would be most convenient to take the train at 9:25 a.m. or 11:10 a.m. The bus for passengers traveling back will be waiting at 16:15 p.m. and 17:20 p.m., the free bus will take you to the Pravieniškės stop.
