LTG group passenger transport company "LTG Link" has planned the largest possible train schedules, additional trips and more seats for passengers on one of the most popular routes - from Vilnius to Klaipėda and back - for the long Easter weekend. Those planning trips during the Easter period are recommended to purchase tickets in advance.
"Lithuanians tend to travel more during long weekends and school holidays, so LTG Link is already preparing for the Easter period. On one of the most popular routes – between Vilnius and Klaipėda – we will offer 30 percent more seats for passengers than during a normal week, and additional train services will also operate," - says Kristina Meidė, head of LTG Link.
For the convenience of passengers, LTG Link has planned the largest possible train schedules. It is expected that more active travel by train will be encouraged by the broader and new benefits that came into effect on April 1, which allow students, pensioners and parents traveling with children on weekends and holidays to travel on local routes for half the price.
Therefore, train passengers planning to travel between April 18 and 21 are advised to book their tickets in advance. This is especially important for those planning to travel on the most popular routes, such as Vilnius. - Klaipeda, Vilnius - Riga - Tallinn and Vilnius - Warsaw - Krakow, where tickets sell out the fastest.
