In December, as people travel around the country more often and are looking for ways to sustainably and comfortably travel by train to their loved ones or to Christmas events during the holidays, LTG Group's passenger transport company "LTG Link” reminds passengers of the most important things to remember when preparing for a trip. For the convenience of passengers, in December the company will offer even more train trips to the events of the festive period and will offer passengers a new type of one-day ticket.
For those who want flexibility, a one-day ticket
From December 14 passengers will be offered a new type of ticket - a one-day ticket. Passengers who have purchased a one-day ticket online or via the app will be able to travel an unlimited number of times on the selected route section at any time. Passengers will be able to choose these tickets for travel on all routes, where regular timed (monthly) tickets are also available.
"We feel that customers are increasingly looking for flexibility and the ability to travel both by choosing another flight at the last minute and unlimited travel on the selected section that day. Therefore, a new type of ticket is starting today, intended for those who know that they really want to travel that day, but are not yet sure about the travel time", says D. Aleksandravičienė.
Travelers to and from the railway stations of Vilnius and Klaipėda are also invited to move sustainably by urban public transport - you only need to purchase one - a train and public transport - a ticket. The ticket can be purchased on the "LTG Link" website or mobile app when buying train tickets to or from Vilnius and Klaipėda railway stations. It is possible to select one ticket in the system as an additional service.
Return from Kaunas by a late train
It's common for train schedules to be combined with major events, and passengers can expect more such train journeys this December. More late trains are planned from Kaunas to Vilnius during the festive period during the "Euroleague" competition. Additional evening flights are planned for December 14, 22, 28 and January 2. The schedule of these trains will be adapted to the competitions taking place in the country's largest arena, so that guests arriving in Kaunas from the capital can comfortably return after the competitions.
"Especially during the holiday period, when traffic conditions are difficult and traffic jams occur between cities, we encourage safe and sustainable travel to the biggest events of the season," says D. Aleksandravičienė.
Comfortable train journeys between these major cities of the country are planned for December 16 as well (Jessica Shy's "Fairy tale" tour concert), on December 18 (Martyn Levickis concert "Cinema sounds tour") and on December 27 (Donats Montvydas concert "360").
We invite you to plan your trip in advance
The company draws attention to the fact that during the festive period, higher passenger flows are expected between the big cities of Lithuania, and tickets for the most popular flights are often sold out several days in advance. Therefore, "LTG Link" recommends knowing that you will definitely travel to visit relatives or to a holiday a concert, buy tickets in advance.
"During the festive period, passenger traffic increases, especially in the most popular directions between the capital and Kaunas and Klaipėda, where about 10 and 30 percent travel, respectively, compared to November. more people. In addition, our festive trains run during this period, for which tickets are often snapped up even earlier. Of course, for the convenience of passengers, we are planning flights on the Vilnius–Klaipeda allow twice as many formations, but for those who want to travel during the most popular times, we suggest buying tickets in advance. It is most convenient to do this on the website www.LTGLink.lt or with the LTG Link mobile app," says Dovilė Aleksandravičienė, head of business development and marketing at LTG Link.
