This transfer is planned by the Kaišiadori Railway at the station.
Passengers will be invited to travel on a modern diesel Pesa 730 ML train. Both the entrance to the train and its cabin are adapted for people with individual needs and limited mobility. The train is equipped with a heating and ventilation system and an air conditioner. The train has 142 seats for passengers and 4 bike racks. For the convenience of customers, hot and cold snacks and drinks will be available throughout the trip.
This route will primarily aim to ensure sustainable international travel opportunities, therefore local travel services in Latvia will not be provided on the Jelgava-Riga route section.
Passengers are invited to purchase tickets from today. The company advises to plan trips to Riga in advance - it is most convenient to do it online on the company's website www.LTGLink.lt and mobile app. For children up to 6 years old without taking a separate seat on the train, the journey will cost nothing, and children between the ages of 6 and 16 will be charged 30%. discount
Recently, the company has also updated the standard of customer service on trains. In order to accommodate the needs of different passengers, all domestic and international trains will henceforth pay more attention to the quiet zone in the first class carriages. In this way, the aim is to create conditions for comfortable travel, both for those who want to share their travel experiences with fellow passengers, and for those who are looking for peace, in more spacious seating areas, to use dedicated electrical outlets to charge devices.
Those traveling on an international route are reminded to carry personal identification documents. It will be possible to transport personal hand luggage and bicycles on this international route (after purchasing the transportation service in advance). The fixed price of transporting a bicycle along the entire route is EUR 10. As in Lithuania, trips to Riga will be pet-friendly - all you need to do is have a valid European pet passport and comply with sanitary and hygiene requirements. Small pets transported in special bags will be able to travel for free, and larger ones for a fixed fee of 5 EUR.
In addition, the Eurail travel passport is valid on all LTG Link routes, some of which have a seat reservation fee, so holders of these tickets will also be able to travel between Lithuania and Latvia.
