According to her, the majority of passengers travel via the new connection from Vilnius, but there is no shortage of passengers traveling from other Lithuanian cities as well.

This route primarily aims to ensure a new sustainable connection between the neighboring capitals - the absolute majority of passengers of the new route bought international trips (approximately 4,3 thousand tickets were sold)", K. "On the new connection with Riga, passengers mostly go from Vilnius (60 percent of international trips), Šiauliai (21 percent of international trips) and Kaišiadori (9 percent of international trips)," she asserted.
LTG was also happy that residents of Joniškis traveling to the capitals of both countries use the route. Also, according to K. Dzikaraitė-Misiūnė, passengers usually travel on weekends, and the occupancy of trains in the first week of the route averaged 71 percent.
"It is also encouraging that the residents of Joniškis have already discovered the new route, choosing to go both to Riga (290 passengers) and to Vilnius (214 passengers)," said the representative of LTG.
"Most customers travel on weekends, customers from Vilnius usually choose trips with two nights, and from Kaišiadori and Šiauliai - one day," she assured.
