Ukrainian Railways intends to extend the route of the Kyiv-Riga passenger train via Minsk and Vilnius, which started running at the end of September, to Tallinn.

"So far, the profitability of this passenger train is almost zero, but considering the fact that the route was opened recently and now is the "low season", the project can be considered a success," emphasized the representative of Ukrzaliznycia.
According to the data of the Ukrainian company, during the eight trips of this train, 2,1 thousand people used it. passengers, of which approximately 1 thousand of people went to or returned from Lithuania, 0,95 thousand. - to or from Latvia.
A passenger train on the Kyiv-Minsk-Vilnius-Riga route runs once a week.
