At the end of 2020, it was the hottest year in Lithuania since 1961, the Hydrometeorological Service reported on Friday.
According to preliminary data, the average annual air temperature in Lithuania last year reached 9,2 degrees, when the long-term average is 2,3 degrees lower - 6,9.
This is the second hottest year in a row, after 2019, when the annual average temperature reached 8,8 degrees.
