The biggest holidays of the year cannot be separated without the most important symbol - the Christmas tree. However, choosing the most beautiful Christmas tree and then bringing it home can be difficult. Therefore, the ride-hailing service platform Uber together with the shopping network "Old people" is giving away as many as 200 Christmas trees, which drivers using the app will deliver to Vilnius residents free of charge.
As many as 200 live, approximately one and a half meter high Christmas trees with pots will be given away by Uber and Senukai on Tuesday, December 19. All users of the Uber app can receive an original gift - all they need to do is between 11 a.m. and 16 p.m. on the day of the promotion. press a special button that will appear in the app and order a Christmas tree, which will be delivered by an Uber driver-partner to your home, office or other chosen location.
"This is the second year in a row that we are holding such a festive campaign in Lithuania. Last year's success proved that the people of Vilnius appreciated the offer as extremely convenient and gratifying, and that Christmas is undoubtedly their favorite and most anticipated holiday. That's why this year we want to treat our users festively again, while also not forgetting those who may feel hot during Christmas," says Enn Metsar, head of Uber in the Baltic States.
Some of the Christmas trees will reach children's care homes, day care centers, and support organizations. Uber awarded such organizations with festive trees last year as well.
"Kindness can never be too much, especially during the holidays, so we are happy to have become partners of this beautiful campaign. It is extremely important for us that during the campaign our Christmas trees and gifts will reach children growing up in orphanages and visiting day care centers", says Ramūnas Klyvis, marketing manager of UAB "Kesko Senukai".
Meanwhile, this year, the friendly initiative attracted the interest of not only regular drivers who use the Uber app, already in the mood for the holidays, but also famous people in the country. Actors Ineta Stasiulytė, Kristina Savickytė and Ridas Jasiulionis, who will become partners-drivers of Uber for a short time, also decided to take out the festive trees.
Celebrities agree that they are impatiently waiting when they can get behind the wheel of special holiday buses and have a friendly competition to see who can take the most Christmas trees.
Among the campaign partners who agreed to contribute to spreading the Christmas spirit in Vilnius are the Toyota representative office Mototoja, Skogran, and Jeep.
